As you can see, both forms are used in English with the same meaning. However, it is worth knowing that 'on the list' is much more common. So, to be on the safe side, use 'on the list'.
Also remember that you can only say 'low or high on the list'. Examples:
London stood high on the list of potential sites for the Olympics.
Environmental issues are usually low on the list of priorites.

Odpowiednikiem polskiej frazy "na liście" jest angielskie "on the list". Co prawda, możliwe jest także użycie "in the list", ale forma ta jest o wiele rzadziej stosowana. Najbezpieczniej jest więc używać tylko frazy "on the list". Po polsku często mówimy, że coś jest wysoko albo nisko na naszej liście. Angielskie odpowiedniki tych fraz to "high on the list" i "low on the list". W tym przypadku zastosowanie przyimka "in" uważane jest za błąd. Przykłady:
Czy jesteś pewny, że twoje imię jest na liście? = Are you sure your name is on the list?
Zobaczyłem to na liście zakupów. = I saw it on the shopping list.
